Where I'll Stand

I built my house down on the sand
The sea rose up and tore it down
Where now can I go?
Where is there shelter?

I put faith in steel and firm hands
Stored treasure here in this land
Where now can I invest
If right now these things won't last?

Seeing all the things I once loved
Eaten by moth and by rust
What have I left to cling to?
What's left for me?

If thieves break in and steal all
And I can't guard my own
If tornados destroy
Where can I go?

I will stand on nothing more
Than Jesus Christ, the firmest floor
No one else will keep me safe
Nothing can take your place

So this is where I'll stand
On something firmer than sand
This is my hope
It's surer than each breath
I've got my faith
And you have given me grace
I will persevere
Until you come back
